Woodlands Historic Park
It’s not every day that I get people contacting me from Singapore to arrange a family shoot so I was super excited to meet this lovely family when they flew in to Melbourne for a holiday. Woodlands Historic Park (near Tullamarine and Greenvale) is a beautiful place to shoot late in the day or early in the morning.

Picture Perfect Eynesbury I Melbourne Family Photographer
When it comes to family photography it’s usually the women who do the researching, the booking and the planning… but over the past 6 months I have been getting a lot more enquiries from thoughtful husbands and partners. On this occasion the family were building a new home in Eynesbury and the thoughtful husband thought it would be great to have a portrait session on their block (such a great idea!) – so he called to arrange a voucher for his lovely wife …but his lovely wife was in the process of trying to arrange for the family to go to a shopping centre portrait place… The voucher was to be a Christmas surprise so the husband had to feign disinterest in the idea of a family portrait…. which made the lovely wife very mad. So the thoughtful husband had to come clean about the whole thing and 5 months later here they all are in Eynesbury. Thanks lovely family – I really enjoyed working with you all, you are a truly beautiful family.

Cake smash bonanza – Melbourne Cake Smash Photography
OK so it’s official – I am a terrible blogger!! It’s been almost a year since my last blog… sounds like the start of a confession.
The past year has been crazy busy and I am so grateful for all the amazing clients I have had the privilege of capturing through my lens. I am going to try and update this site over the next few weeks (it REALLY needs it – the gallery images are so old and definitely not my best work!) so stay tuned for some new pics.
For now I will leave you with a few story boards from some recent cake smash sessions – these are always so much fun!

What a super cutie – look at those cheeks!! 9 month old bubbas are SO much fun – everything is new and entertaining… even their own hands. Thanks to Oliver, Katie and Paul for bringing love and laughter to the studio – I had so much fun with you all
Family Fun – Family Photography, Melbourne
Oh, what a sweet little boy you have!!
I was very fortunate to spend a morning playing with Max’s family in their beautiful backyard in Yaraville, the perfect backdrop for some family pics.
Max has the coolest drum kit I’ve ever seen, made entirely out of pots, pans and other kitchen utensils – LOVE IT!
Ewan’s Turning 1 | Cake Smash Photography
I can’t believe how quickly this year has gone by… this time last year I looked like I was carrying an oversized basketball under my t-shirt, now I have a beautiful little boy (who looks nothing like a basketball)!
I have been planning to do a cake smash session for Ewan’s birthday for a while now… I researched healthy cake and icing options, bought some new seemless backgrounds… and then on Saturday I realised that it’s only a month away so instead of baking we went to the supermarket and bought 2 carrot cakes, smooshed them together and slopped some cream cheese, icing sugar and cornflour (yum!) together and put it and our small boy in the studio together. Ewan had a great time obliterating the cake and he didn’t mind a bit that it was sloppy and tasted crap!
I learnt many things from the session… next time I will be more prepared for the aftermath, and will probably put down some vinyl or perspex. But despite all that I think the 3 of us have never laughed so hard. It was difficult to take the photos I was laughing so hard!

Archie is 14 months old and enjoys books, cuddles, singing and dancing, throwing and catching balls, dressing up like superman, ducks and clocks!
Archie’s mum, Kate, and I worked together at Red Cross many moons ago. Kate now lives and works in Geelong so we don’t see each other very often but we stay in touch on facebook. I was thrilled when Kate got in touch recently to organise some pics of her gorgeous little boy, Archie.
Archie is such a sweet little boy and he has one of the most expressive faces I’ve seen on a 14 month old! We had a fun day checking out the ducks in the park before heading back to the studio for some ‘super’ shots.
