OK so it’s official – I am a terrible blogger!! It’s been almost a year since my last blog… sounds like the start of a confession.

The past year has been crazy busy and I am so grateful for all the amazing clients I have had the privilege  of capturing through my lens. I am going to try and update this site over the next few weeks (it REALLY needs it – the gallery images are so old and definitely not my best work!) so stay tuned for some new pics.

For now I will leave you with a few story boards from some recent cake smash sessions – these are always so much fun!

I can’t believe how quickly this year has gone by… this time last year I looked like I was carrying an oversized basketball under my t-shirt, now I have a beautiful little boy (who looks nothing like a basketball)!

I have been planning to do a cake smash session for Ewan’s birthday for a while now… I researched healthy cake and icing options, bought some new seemless backgrounds… and then on Saturday I realised that it’s only a month away so instead of baking we went to the supermarket and bought 2 carrot cakes, smooshed them together and slopped some cream cheese, icing sugar and cornflour (yum!) together and put it and our small boy in the studio together. Ewan had a great time obliterating the cake and he didn’t mind a bit that it was sloppy and tasted crap!

I learnt many things from the session… next time I will be more prepared for the aftermath, and will probably put down some vinyl or perspex. But despite all that I think the 3 of us have never laughed so hard. It was difficult to take the photos I was laughing so hard!
